ARCOR™
Range of treatment processes intended for ferrous metals, associating highly efficient corrosion protection with good wear resistance.ARCOR passivates by the thermochemical method and applies an organic film on treated part surface coats.Parts treated with ARCOR have an excellent black decorative appearance.
Treatment parameters:
ARCOR treatment is at a temperature between 540 and 630°C and treatment time varies between 30 and 210 minutes.
Remark:
Unlike electrolytic coatings, there is no hydrogen embrittlement with ARCOR. Installed equipment is suitable for treatment of parts to diameter 1,300 mm (51in), height 2,300 mm (90 in).
Precautions:
Schedule 3-hour thermal stress relieving at least before final machining. Do not clean treated parts with solvents
Application examples:
DAMPER OR CYLINDER RODS, AXLE HINGES, CRANE JOINT PLATES, ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT MECHANISMS, AUTOMOBILE LOCK MECHANISMS, HINGE PINS, OPERATING SCREWS, WINDOW WIPER SHAFTS, BALLS FOR BOWLING GAMES, IRON INDUSTRY EQUIPMENT, etc.
TENIFER/QPQ HEF patent
Nitro-carburation treatments associate thermochemical diffusion in salt baths with a passivation and a finish treatment. It makes possible to combine corrosion, wear and fatigue resistance properties on steel and cast iron. This treatment is combined with mechanic cleaning operations/polishing as par t of QPQ in order to lower the sur face roughness.
TENIFER treatment temperature is set between 500 and 630°C and treatment time varies between 30 and 210 minutes.
The installed equipment allows the treatment of parts until a diameter of 1300 mm and a height of 2300 mm. Precautions to be taken: Schedule 3-hour thermal stress relieving at a 20°C higher temperature than the treatment temperature before final machining.
• Gears • Camshafts • Slides • Bearings • Turbine liners • Tumbler • Racks • Cutting tool • Crankshaft • Hydraulic cylinder • Rockets • Wheel hub •Connecting rods, cardan • Articulation pins • Molds for aluminum alloys flows • Pistons…
SURSULF™
Salt bath nitriding using sulphur-activated, non-contaminating salts, especially suitable for ferrous metals.
SURSULF efficiently solves all wear, fatigue and seizure problems thanks to the exceptional nitriding power of the bath.
The SURSULF bath temperature is between 540 and 570°C (1000 and 1060° F) and treatment time varies between 30 and 210 minutes.
Installed equipment is suitable for treatment of parts to diameter 1,300 mm (51 in), height 2,300 mm (90 in).
Precautions :
Schedule 3-hour thermal stress relieving at 590°C (1094° F) minimum before final machining.
Application examples :
GEARS, CAMSHAFTS, SLIDERS, JOURNALS, ENGINE LININGS, ROCKERS, RACKS, CUTTING TOOLS, CRANKSHAFTS, HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS, STUB SHAFTS, WHEEL HUBS, LINKAGES, UNIVERSAL JOINTS, HINGE PINS, ALUMINIUM ALLOY CASTING MOULDS, PISTONS, DISTRIBUTORS, etc.
SULF BT™
Molten salt bath electrolytic conversion of the surface of the base material to create an iron sulphide layer to improve resistance to seizure and to strengthen adherence of lubricating films. The layer has excellent self-lubricating properties.
Treatment parameters :
SULF BT is used at a temperature of 190 ± 5°C (374 ± 40°F).
Remark :
Treatment is possible on heat-treated steels with low tempering temperature, especially case hardened steels.
Precautions
SULF BT is not suitable for steels with a chromium content greater than 12%.
Applications examples :
SURFACE HARDENED AND CASE HARDENED GEARS, CAMSHAFTS, ENGINE LININGS, BALL JOINTS, PUSHRODS, DIFFERENTIAL SATELLITES, DIFFERENTIAL SPIDERS, UNIVERSAL JOINTS, SHAFTS AND JOURNALS, GEARBOX FORKS, GEARBOX SPACER RINGS, STEERING SCREW, RACKS, PNEUMATIC HAMMER PISTONS, CONSTANT PROFILE MILLS AND SAWMILLS, STOP WASHERS FOR GEARBOXES, STAMPING TOOLS, CUTTING TOOLS, etc.
